October Radio Piece Pick
A twelve year-old with dreams to be a fashion designer won my heart over this month. Alejandra's "Paper Pad Story," a segment from KRCB Voice of Youth's "Dollar Tree Dreams did it for me." (http://www.prx.org/group/krcbvoiceofyouth"
The piece is short, but it's layered with such beautiful sounds, like layers of brightly colored tulle and lace. The piece made me incredibly hopeful. It might be the cheerful noises in the cafe that I'm in or the Black Forrest Coffee blend that I practically injected into my veins, but I doubt either or them can explain my optimistic mood. This piece did it for me. If you're having a bad day, this colorful piece will definitely brighten up your mood.
