This month, my favorite piece of the bunch is
Curie Youth Radio's My Plate Full, Yours Empty.
The piece is simply, powerful and vivid. It says a lot without saying too much.
Instead of taking a 'journalistic/reporter' stance, the narrator tells it like a story.
The piece especially highlights the trials that families go through during tough times, which is especially timely in today's economic strains -- take the parents that killed themselves and their family because they no longer had the funds to support them. It all ties back together. The story is a piece of a bigger issue that has direct impact on many people in similar situations.
