
On the ninth of October, NASA sent two large projectiles cannoning into the moon, in the hopes of finding ice under the surface. The results will take two weeks to diagnose, so there is no knowing whether or not this was a success. A discovery of ice, of course, means a discover of water, which as far as we know is the lifeblood of every living organism in the universe. Finding ice now could not only mean that there may be microscopic lifeforms all over the moon, but could prove a lunar outpost possible
The moral of this story? If you ever need to find something out, consider bombarding your test subject with $79 million worth of equipment.
