Just came home from our travelling show in Dallas, KVIL 103.
We subbed for a bit seeing that the real DJ was not available at the time (whoever you are, I'm not mentioning your name but you really do owe me big time!). The results will take two weeks to diagnose, so there is no knowing whether or not this was a success. A discovery of ice, of course, means a discover of water, which as far as we know is the lifeblood of every living organism in the universe. Finding ice now coul… Continue
There are good interviews and not-so-good interviews and then, in the case of the band Sigur Ros speaking with Bryant Park Project's Luke Burbank, there are interviews that go terribly, awfully wrong. Watching this video is a little like witnessing a 7th grade dance - it's squirm-inducingly uncomfortable, but also kind of hard to turn away from.
To its credit, Bryant Park not only posted this interview, but then sat down with music journalist Jancee Dunn to analyze jus… Continue

After backpacking for a bit over a week without both showers and anywhere to put waste products I have very much come to appreciate the effort it takes to be truly one with the environment. However cleaning food bowls with dirt and carrying my TP (hiking lingo for toilet paper) with me as I hiked pushed me a tad too far over my comfort zone.
This… Continue
So, during my first month as a YEB member, I've listened to four very differenet pieces. But my very favorite has to be "Korean BBQ Tacos" by Ana Ruth Castillo from Youth Radio. (http://www.prx.org/group/youthradio)
