Let's move backward: Currently, I'm the YouthCast Host for Generation PRX, and I do most of the blogging for them. I also volunteer as a producer and on-air host for Vocalo.org, WBEW, in Chicago, IL.
I moved to Chicago from Colorado Springs, CO, where I was a producer and reporter for the local news at KRCC while attending Colorado College. While there, I helped start the first totally student run HD music channel for KRCC.
And I first learned how to make and break radio at the Blunt Youth Radio Project in Portland, Maine, where I grew up. Woot Woot youth radio!

A friend of mine who works in the Chicago Public Schools asked some of her students what they thought signs of gentrification were. The one that got her was something so simple: “People jogging.” Another might be advertisements for shiny new buildings right near vacant lots, like the photo above.
