- *I'm a public radio junkie, listening or making, I like it all… docs, soundscapes, regular old local news, national programming, fact or fiction. But I’m into television broadcasting and newspapers too. Maybe some day I'll start my own independent newspaper...
*“Are you finding what you’re looking for out here with me? I hope so.” Maybe it’s more like am I finding what I’m looking for out here with you…. I hope so.
*I’m in my last years of an international master’s program in journalism with 37 people from 19 countries and it’s a strange time-space compressed experience that’s terrible and amazing and stressful and relaxing all at the same time. Our group has been mini-fied and now we’re about 18-20 studying at the Universität Hamburg.
*If given the opportunity I will drink entirely too much coffee, black, eat entirely too much chocolate, dark, and spend entirely too much time sleeping, day or night.
*I’m torn simultaneously by wanderlust and wanting roots. I grew up moving until I was 9 when we hunkered down on the prairies. By the time I was in high school I’d had enough. I’ve moved 6 times since finishing my BA in 2005 and will probably move again once I’m done here in Hamburg. I’ve found a home in Nigeria, in Denmark, in Canada, in the Netherlands and now Germany. Who knows where next?
