Ann Heppermann is an adjunct faculty member at Brooklyn College. Previously, she was the director at Brooklyn College Radio, the university's radio station. There, she started the first CUNY radio workshop with NPR's Next Generation. She loves teaching, her students, and New York City.
Ann also is an independent radio produer who works with co-producer Kara Oehler. Their work has aired nationally and internationally on NPR, CBC, BBC, WBEZ, WNYC and other stations. They've received awards from AP, PRNDI, Golden Reel, Third Coast and Peabody. Currently, they're working on a series about the one thing most important to refugees who have come to United States for AMP show Weekend America.
